Overview
Modern facilities built to support streamlined government operations.
The Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) represents Victoria’s approach towards sustainable energy, environmental stewardship, and proactive climate action.
We transformed DEECA’s Knoxfield agricultural research facility into the Port Phillip regional office, a project that represents a fusion of heritage and innovation. Our scope involved the demolition of antiquated research buildings, paving the way for contemporary, versatile facilities. Notable features include:
The redevelopment of an old farm shed into a practical storage facility.
A 500sqm new depot designed for the region’s firefighting equipment and supplies.
A comprehensive refurbishment and extension of the existing office building, now boasting an open-plan layout, meeting rooms, conference facilities, secure offices for compliance staff, and a dedicated area for government records.
The construction of a new break-out space to enhance employee engagement and collaboration.
The transformation of the existing conference centre into a high-quality office space.
Strategic refurbishments of carparks and establishing new parking areas and roads.
Detailed landscaping to complement the new buildings and carparks.
Essential fencing works to ensure security around the new developments.
This project is a testament to smart urban redevelopment, blending state-of-the-art facilities with the site’s historical significance while maintaining ongoing government operations.
